Job Title: Sales Director Investment Management Services
Emerge Capital Management is a dynamic institutional sales company, which provides sales and distribution support to investment management firms. Emerge offers investment solutions to investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, predominately regional and independent RIAs, and broker/dealers.
We currently offer advisors separate account strategies which are available on industry recognized platforms.
We are looking for talented team oriented people to join our team. We will fill positions as needed as we expand.
Our head office is located in Buffalo NY. We need coverage in the Northeastern U.S. Region.

We are considering both inside sales positions and external field positions, on a part-time and/or full-time basis. We are also willing to consider flexible work environments.
The successful candidate/s will be responsible for developing and maintain relationships with our advisor clients, with the focus on building sales momentum in our separate account strategies.
We have aspirations for mutual fund distribution in the future. We will provide a training program and CRM technology to assist you in developing relationships and we will work with you to enhance your industry and product knowledge in order to effectively communicate and build credibility
with investment professionals.
Primary Responsibilities :
Responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with professional advisors, RIAs, BDs who appreciate the strategies Emerge promotes.
Responsible for making outbound calls to prospective advisors and determining fit for managed account fee- based services.
Responsible for determining the advisor need, selling our separate account strategies and providing a superior client experience for brokers and financial planners across the U.S.
Participate in sales presentations to further knowledge and development of team territory
Depending on position you will be expected to efficiently manage a territory and maximize your opportunities within.
You will schedule, conduct office visits, branch presentations to advisors and teams of advisors.
You will need to deliver insight on the market, our products, and the industry to support sales and drive revenue for the firm.
Profiling clients to identify sales opportunities for the future
Work with management to refine selling skills through on-call coaching and monitoring.
Education and Experience :
Knowledge of the financial or investment management industry (including mutual funds)
Preferred minimum 10 years of industry experience
Previous inside sales and support building experience/ financial services sales experience required
Previous external sales experience required for external role; evidence of strong developed/maintained.
Series 65 & 63 mandatory
Series 7 preferred, must be obtained within 90 -120 days of hire
MBA or CFA is an asset
Skills and Knowledge :
Excellent communication and presentation skills; investment fluency
Strong listening and communication skills
Strong pc skills; familiarity with CRM applications
Knowledge of the financial services industry
Industry knowledge of asset management
Industry knowledge of advisory business and how advisors build their businesses
Time management/organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative sales environment
