East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center focuses its efforts on forming links within its Central Brooklyn neighborhood so that as many members of the community as possible learn about its services and how to access them. Its list of medical services is exhaustive, and includes adult medicine, dental services, electrocardiogram (EKG), Geriatrics, Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), mammography, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, radiology, Women Infant and Child (WIC) program, HIV/AIDS services, substance abuse and pharmacy.

Description:
Formulates policies, methods and procedures and prescribes standards for treatment, diagnosis, control and prevention of illness.
Reviews, monitors and supervises methods of delivering care and evaluates patient care.
Develops and implements training of all staff in team approach and assures regular functioning of internal, medical auditing programs.
 Periodically evaluates medical procedures, policies and techniques and approves or recommends revisions required to meet the changing conditions in accordance with patient needs, community needs and advancement in medical knowledge.
Meets with and makes recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team, and the Community Advisory Board for program operation, expansion, curtailment or reorganization.
Ensures that the clinical committees of East New York function in accordance with applicable codes and requirements of regulatory or certifying bodies.
Periodically reviews the operation of the Health Center, in cooperation with the Chief Medical Officer with respect to staff assignment and allocation of budget, equipment and space.
Assesses the need for staff training and, together with Executive Leadership, plans such on-going training and education as is necessary or appropriate.
Performs the functions necessary to meet the needs of the institution in accordance with Federal, State, Local and Article 28 requirements.
Assists the Chief Medical Officer in selection, retention and reappointment of Physicians, Dentists and other practitioners.
Evaluates the quality of medical and professional fare and services, and advises the Chief Medical Officer when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduated from approved Medical School
2. Completion of approved residency in the specialty and board eligible.
3. Licensed to practice in New York State.
4. Experience in the field of specialty.
5. Acceptance to the Medical Board of Hospital.

Preferences:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of specialty in a responsible medical and clinical administrative capacity.
