Purple are looking for a People Manager to lead the Operations function across the New York and LA Office. The role will lead the team in delivering an outstanding employee experience through operational HR projects and processes. This role requires strong people management, solid organisational and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail alongside an ability to constantly evolve the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes. This role will be partnering with the Senior People Partner and Executive Vice Presidents to lead improvements and act as a key stakeholder and influencer across HR programs, processes, systems.

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR support including: salary/bonus planning, talent acquisition, on-boarding and off-boarding, performance management and reporting/analytics
Be the chief interpreter and implementer for HR policies, practices and procedures for all levels of employees, looking to further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business
Work to resolve employee and organisational issues in a proactive and positive manner. Manage staffing process working with clients and our internal talent acquisition team to identify effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for the organisation
Work alongside hiring managers with the recruitment process
Champion both the employee perspective and company efforts to promote a positive, collaborative, respectful, and engaging work environment
Identify and implement projects that will develop and engage our employees throughout their career life-cycle
Keep up to date with new employment legislations and communicate and implement effectively with the teams.
Partner with the UK Senior People Partner on implementing talent pipeline programs and other global strategies across the organisation

Skills and Experience
An experienced People Manager capable of taking initiative and able to deliver long term priorities whilst managing day to day issues as they arise
Have driven and embedded cultural change across a function or business.
Proven track record of coaching Senior Management and Executive Teams with a flexible and adaptable style.
Strong experience in dealing with and coaching managers with Employment Relations matters
Ability to create process and policy without relying on an established infrastructure and extensive external resource
Proactive, with an ability to problem solve and comprehend issues in the context of the bigger picture and business impact.
Fearless in challenging and strong willed in driving change
Able to build trusted relationships with all levels of the organisation
Knowledge of USA employment law and working practices is essential
