Robert Half is seeking a Sr Telecommunications Engineer out of the Trevose, Pennsylvania area. Ideally looking for an Engineer experienced with Avaya telecom administration and contact center design. Everyday responsibilities include: - Ability to compile operating data/statistics and prepare performance reports - Work closely with call center management and staff to address and resolve telecom related issues - Experience with contact center applications - Will be internal customer facing as well - Will be doing an Avaya upgrade from CM63-VM8, looking for someone who could potentially take the lead on that - Responsible for the maintenance, design, implementation and support of the enterprise voice telecommunications environment including the consolidated MPLS voice and data network. - Plan and oversee installations and upgrades associated with telephony environment. - Via network monitoring (i.e. Solar Winds) and proactive daily system health checks, ensure the highest availability and performance of the call center systems including Avaya CM, CMS, WFO/WFM, ACR, and EMC. - Continuously explore opportunities to introduce improvements to service availability and quality - Work collaboratively and foster a strong rapport with the call center teams to ensure telephony services are positioned to meet and drive business goals. - Help develop and implement an enterprise-wide voice telephony strategy with a focus on unified communications. - Assist in managing relationships with telecom vendors and carriers. - Work with the telecom billing management service provider to ensure invoices match contracted rates and usage. - Manage and perform MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) work associated with the telecommunications environment. - Must possess hands on ability to execute creative solutions to complex problems. Must be able to balance the ability to work independently and be a part of a high performance team. - Professionally interact with user groups while keeping Information Services management fully appraised of the status of his/her projects. Solid experience with Avaya CM, CMS, Messaging, System/Session Mgr and G-series .348 Media Gateways - Strong background in traditional and IP-based telephony technologies (SIP trunk experience also preferred) - Understanding of other Avaya applications such as WFO/WFM, ACR, and EMC are a plus - Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to analyze and determine root cause - Minimum 5 years of experience with Avaya telecom administration, including contact center design - Solid experience with Avaya CM, CMS, Messaging, System/Session Mgr and G-series .348 Media Gateways - Strong background in traditional and IP-based telephony technologies (SIP trunk experience also preferred) - Understanding of other Avaya applications such as WFO/WFM, ACR, and EMC are a plus - Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
