Position Summary: We are currently seeking an Assistant Product Manager to serve as the primary support for the Product Manager and will be responsible for assisting the product manager monitor and grow the Outlet category to achieve company sales and profit objectives. This person will also develop an in depth understanding of weekly reports and source of statistical data, work to increase knowledge by combining reports and formulating conclusions and partner on the running of the day-to-day business. A high level of organizational & analytical skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Analyze selling results for new and existing collections, styles, skus/colors Enter new styles in the SAP system and work with merchandise planning team to ensure consistent categorization Maintain and track changes to merchandise assortments Assist in drafting presentations and business review documents for senior management Assist in developing training materials highlighting key features and benefits for all new product introductions Prepare feature & benefit lists for individual styles & collection Organizing utility reviews with the design and sourcing teams Manage channel requests for exclusives Input and track marketing project requests for product launch marketing collateral Assist in naming collections, colors, and styles Coordinate samples for meetings & presentations Develop salesman sample recommendation lists Fact check product specific information in look book, catalogs, web descriptions, Product Approvals, PCR’s and ad hoc requests Populate product launch calendars with product launch dates Prepare printed materials to support meetings Research competitive assortments and pricing via the internet Qualifications: The successful candidate must have at least 1-3 years of experience working in merchandising, brand, or product management. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively support three product managers simultaneously. Strong organizational skills are a must along with a demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task. High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
